What is the process for the ATP?

1st - Enroll in an ATP CTP course. Only certain providers can offer this week long ground and simulator based course.

2nd - Take your ATP Written Exam - We recommend Sheppard Air for test prep. Take the written test at your base education office (free) or a local airport FBO.

3rd - Complete your ATP Checkride with PRO TRAIN in the Beechjet 400A.

Why should I complete my ATP with PRO TRAIN?

-You are already IP qualified in the T-1A/Beechjet. With a little differences training you'll be comfortable in our Beechjet aircraft

-Other ATP providers require you to fly a single pilot small prop aircraft. Are you comfortable taking the checkride single pilot, feathering engines, programming an unfamiliar GPS, running EP checklists and communicating on the radio all by yourself? In our Beechjet you'll have a copilot and using CRM they will complete checklists, program the FMS and communicate with ATC along with other duties assigned by you.

-We follow the same procedures you are used to flying with in the Air Force.

Is there Military Competency for ATP?

Unfortunately, not for the ATP Certificate. Military Competency is available for Commercial Pilot, CFI and Type Rating.

For current and former military pilots we can quickly and easily convert your military ratings to FAA Commercial Pilot, FAA Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI) and add type ratings from your rated military aircraft. There is no checkride required and we process all the paperwork on the spot. Once qualified, you will receive your temporary certificate immediately with no need to travel to an FAA office.
